Published purpose

This project provides support and improves the quality of life for landmine victims in targeted Sudanese communities through several interventions, including emergency and continuous medical care, physical rehabilitation, prostheses and assistive devices, psychosocial support, employment and economic empowerment, advocacy, legislation, and public awareness. These interventions aim to increase access to quality medical, physical rehabilitation, and social services for landmine victims and persons with disabilities, with special attention given to the needs of women and girls. It also increases economical empowerment of landmine victims gained through a reduction in stigma at the community level toward landmine victims and persons with disabilities, and increases employment opportunities.
