IBRD Trust Funds - World Bank

Published purpose

The World-Bank-led (DIALOG) Trust Fund aims to strengthen local governance and improve revenue generation & service delivery at the local level by supporting activitiesof the workplan of the Philippines Development Forum’s Working Group on Decentralization and Local Government (PDF-WG). The Working Group is the primary venue for policy discussion among key actors in decentralization and it focuses its efforts on four areas: 1) harmonizing local government capacity building; 2) improving local government's access to finance; 3) strengthening performance-benchmarking frameworks; and 4) improving policy reforms. Canada was the largest donor, having contributed CAN$ 739,930. Australia was the other contributor to the Fund, which total value was USD 873,715.
