Published purpose
The Southern Sudan Healthcare Accessibility, Rehabilitation, and Education Project (SSHARE) seeks to support the improved health and integration of returnees and host populations by supporting essential medical facility rehabilitation and capacity building for medical personnel through activities in medical education and personnel support, rehabilitation and equipping of medical facilities, and the development of community medical outreach programs. These activities are carried out with an emphasis on gender equality and complement Samaritan's Purse's existing project involving the reintegration of Sudanese-Canadian doctors. The project activities contribute to the overarching goal of promoting greater stability in war-affected communities in Southern Sudan and long-term peace.
