Published purpose

The Capacity-Building Trust Fund aims to strengthen the Government of Southern Sudan's (GoSS) and the public sector's capacities to better manage public resources and deliver basic services to the citizens of Southern Sudan. The purpose of the Fund is to support selected GoSS ministries with financial management reforms, to provide short and long-term technical support, and to provide training to civil servants in sectors such as procurement, finance skills, budget management and English language training. CIDA's contribution aims to improve the capacity of up to 200,000 public servants in South Sudan to help modernize systems of public administration and strengthen accountability in the use of government funds.
