Published purpose

This program aims to strengthen the institutional and organizational capacity of 43 umbrella organizations and of the main platform for civil society organizations (CSOs) in eight regions of Mali and in the Bamako district. These organizations are active in several sectors of socio-professional activities, such as health, disability, gender, human rights, housing, water, sanitation, rural associations, agriculture, democracy, good governance, environment, etc. The project is designed to prepare CSOs to play an effective role as major development actors, as envisaged in the second phase of the Civil Society Organizations Support Program (PAOSC II), which seeks to improve programs and policies of government and technical and financial partners to better meet the demands of the population, and particularly the most vulnerable groups.
