Published purpose

The project includes the construction of a fully accessible 1.1 km trail through a section of 100 acres of restored habitat; and the construction of an outdoor pavilion area at Simcoe's County's Kirtland Warbler trail. The goal for this project is to be able to offer additional enriched programming opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities. The trail will offer a fully accessible space to visit the restoration site, and a nature based experience for all ages and abilities. The trail will be barrier-free and include accessible parking spots, and interpretive signs. The pavilion will provide a large, safe, sheltered space to offer enhanced natural and cultural heritage programs for the community (e.g. day camps, senior group programs, special events).
