Published purpose
Agricultural Science and Technology Indicators (ASTI), led by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and operating within the portfolio of the CGIAR Research Program on Policies, Institutions, and Markets (PIM), is a comprehensive and trusted source of information on the status and direction of agricultural research and development (R&D) systems in developing countries. ASTI compiles, analyzes, and publicizes data on institutional developments, investments, and capacity trends in agricultural R&D in low- and middle-income countries worldwide. These indicators allow the performance, inputs, and outcomes of agricultural science and technology systems in developing countries to be measured, monitored, and benchmarked.
