Published purpose

This project, managed by the Stop TB Partnership housed within the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), contributes to global efforts to end tuberculosis (TB) by stimulating, supporting, and demonstrating novel and innovative approaches. These approaches focus on expanding early detection of TB, accessing quality treatment, and improving TB treatment outcomes in poor and vulnerable populations with limited access to health care in developing countries. Selected initiatives with potential for scale-up receive fast-track, short-term funding from TB REACH to demonstrate effectiveness and produce the necessary evidence to integrate and scale-up within National Strategic Plans. It also provides funding applications to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. This Fund is the largest international donor for TB programming. Stop TB focuses on providing support for documentation and ensures the dissemination of successful approaches and lessons learned.
