Published purpose

This project is part of Global Affairs Canada’s International Aboriginal Youth Internships (IAYI) initiative. The internships focus on increasing the awareness, engagement, and participation of Indigenous youth in international development, while providing them with opportunities to expand their employment skills or further their education. L’AMIE, in consortium with the First Nations Human Resources Development Commission of Quebec, sends 50 Indigenous youth to Bolivia as part of the Enhancing Indigenous Cultures project. The interns help enhance Bolivian Indigenous culture through three components focused on children and youth: their education (formal and informal); their health (physical and psychological); and their safety (child and Indigenous rights).
