Published purpose
The purpose of this initiative is to conduct an in-depth needs assessment and prepare an action plan detailing the mandates, policies, organizational structures, and human resources required to establish a Minerals Audit Authority in Kenya. A Minerals Audit Authority would promote the responsible and sustainable development of Kenya’s mining industry through sector-wide improved monitoring and auditing practices, including environmental audit.
