Published purpose
The project aims to reduce sexual and gender-based violence among girls and boys in Burkina Faso, particularly in conflict-affected areas. The project will strengthen the capacity and coordination of key actors including state actors, community networks and children. Project activities will include (1) developing and validating a multisectoral procedure and operating procedures for preventing and combating sexual violence against girls in the context of a pandemic and the isolation of children; (2) implementation of a consultative committee of girls and boys to support the implementation of the project and contribute to its governance; and (3) developing standardized sectoral operating procedures (defence, security, social work, health, education and justice) on sexual and gender-based violence against children.
