Published purpose

This project aims to enhance the engagement of Canadians, especially youth (aged between 12 and 18), in Canada’s international development efforts towards the achievement of the SDGs and FIAP, with a focus on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. Project activities include: (1) Developing a knowledge platform; (2) Showcasing mobile exhibits; (3) Creating a mass media campaign; (4) Broadcasting documentary series. The project aims to reach 1.3M youth, aged between 12-18, including girls, boys and gender minorities as well as hard-to-reach, indigenous and diaspora populations. IDEA also expects to reach 280,734 visible minority youth, 2,851 Indigenous youth, 2,782 diaspora youth.
