Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Advocates uses these funds, along with other donors’ funding to generate awareness, catalyze political will, and accelerate action to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs). SDG Advocates is a group of academics, artists, politicians, and civil society leaders from around the world. SDG Advocates seek to inspire action with existing partners and new stakeholders from all sectors at a local, national, regional, and global level. Project activities include: (1) co-creating learning and advocacy joint missions; (2) participating in annual meetings with the Secretary-General; (3) collaborating on key SDG communications, engagements and events to promote the SDGs, including SDG dialogues in the UN’s SDG TV Studio; (4) participating in Women Rise for All engagements for women’s leadership and gender equality; (5) contributing to enhance the United Nations Office for Partnerships’ communications and advocacy capacity for mobilization of SDGs; and (6) helping strengthen the SDG partnership ecosystem. This grant is Canada’s co-chair contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Advocates and institutional support to the United Nations Office for Partnership.
