Published purpose

This project is part of Global Affairs Canada’s International Youth Internship Program (IYIP), funded by the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy. The IYIP aims to provide youth aged 18 to 30, living in Canada, particularly those facing employment barriers, with the opportunity to gain professional experience in international development. The Canadian National Institute of the Blind (CNIB) offers young Canadians, who identify as living with sensory disabilities a total of 113 placements and offers targeted youth with the opportunity to work in local charitable organizations focusing on equity, diversity, and inclusivity initiatives within their respective region. With, of course, a specific emphasis on serving the blindness populations.
