Published purpose
This project aims to amplify Syrian women's voices in political and peace processes. This project seeks to improve the capacity of the Syrian Women`s Political Movement (SWPM) to lead as peace mediators and help enhance the organization’s operations as a democratic, feminist movement in the Syrian civic space. Project activities include: (1) holding political conferences to foster partnerships between the SWPM and other Syrian political actors and entities; (2) facilitating Syrian to Syrian dialogue between the SWPM, the Syrian Negotiations Commission (SNC) and other political actors under them; (3) delivering mediation training for young Syrian women; (4) holding national consultations to cultivate opportunities for dialogue with Syrian women from conflicting governorates inside Syria; and (5) developing written and oral products, such as political position papers from a Syrian feminist viewpoint, podcast episodes, interviews, and videos.
