Published purpose
The EmpowerED project aims to improve access to gender-transformative comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) for an estimated 7.5 million adolescents and youth. It seeks to focus on 10 countries, including Argentina, Benin, Colombia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Moldova, Philippines, Tunisia, and Zambia. EmpowerED works globally and locally to increase the availability, accessibility, and quality of CSE content and delivery. It aims to accelerate and scale-up CSE programs in the 10 focus countries and foster effective coordination and linkages with sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and gender-based violence (GBV) services. The project also seeks to leverage civil society networks and partnerships to strengthen advocacy, protect and advance knowledge generation and management, and enhance technical collaboration on CSE.
