Published purpose

The Advancing Growth Innovation and Leadership for Enterprises (AGILE) aims to increase the resilience of Vietnam`s populations vulnerable to climate change. AGILE will drive ecosystem enhancements that lead to increased investment in and support for Vietnamese women-focused climate enterprises (CE). These CEs would then be able to grow, thrive and maximize their impact on vulnerable populations` resilience to climate change by offering resilient employment opportunities and by delivering products and services that help individual consumers, businesses and other stakeholders adapt to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change. The project activities include: (1) Strengthening capacity of BK Holdings and other local enablers in providing business acceleration services for women-focused CEs; (2) Working with investors to deploy a challenge grant for the CEs that are ready to attract private capital. The grant would then help leveraging gender-responsive climate finance into these CEs; (3) Providing trainings and support services for WISE and other local women`s business support organizations to strengthen their capacity to translate between gender and finance to promote gender lens investing in Vietnam.
