Published purpose

October 2024 – Myanmar is experiencing a humanitarian crisis driven by armed conflict, economic hardship, protracted displacement and vulnerability to climate shocks. An estimated 18.6 million people require humanitarian assistance in 2024. Humanitarian organizations are operating in an increasingly complex environment, with humanitarian access becoming an ever-greater challenge due to rising insecurity and restrictions. With GAC’s support, Humanity and Inclusion Canada improves access to health and protection services in Myanmar. Project activities include: (1) providing rehabilitation, mental health and psychosocial services; (2) providing cash assistance; (3) providing protection awareness sessions and services; and (4) raising awareness of the risks associated with explosive ordnance.
