Published purpose
The Philippines is facing water stress, threatening economic growth, environmental sustainability, and inclusive development. In collaboration with the private sector, this project aims to enhance the disaster and climate resilience of water-stressed communities through improved integrated water resource management. Project activities include: (1) integrating risk-informed water management into local disaster risk reduction and management and climate change adaptation plans through comprehensive and localized environmental and disaster vulnerability assessments; (2) developing a public-private partnership roadmap with the private sector, local governments, civil society groups, and communities to promote disaster-resilient water management; (3) installing water management technologies to enhance community resilience; (4) training women and men, including Indigenous Peoples, on water-related adaptation and management; (5) establishing peer networks for advocacy, information-sharing, and coordination with loca
