Published purpose

This project aims to increase women’s ability to participate in society and their involvement in Cabo Verde’s economic, social, cultural and political development process. The project will be implemented on the island of Santiago in the municipalities of Praia, the most populous city in the archipelago, where most of the city’s informal business is concentrated. This sector is mainly dominated by women struggling to meet the basic needs of their families. Through this project, MORABI seeks to boost the economic and entrepreneurial empowerment of these women by training them, providing them with support, increasing their income to reduce their vulnerability, and promoting gender equality.
