Published purpose

This project supports a concerted and coordinated approach to counter the entire spectrum of global disinformation campaigns that target chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) weapons and related materials. This is done on behalf of the G7-led Global Partnership Against the Spread of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction. Project activities include: (1) creating a dashboard that tracks CBRN disinformation related to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine; (2) providing rapid dashboard and disinformation trends analysis; (3) developing case studies related to various aspects of CBRN disinformation; (4) mapping and characterizing disinformation narratives and tactics related to Ukraine and beyond; (5) developing best practice guidance and measures related to countering CBRN disinformation; (6) consolidating expert opinions on different elements of CBRN disinformation, including needs, impacts and potential interventions; (7) creating a dedicated project web-platform and project social media account to house and disseminate project outputs; and (8) developing and delivering bespoke briefings, trainings and related materials on CBRN disinformation.
