P007252001: This project aims to contribute to improving equitable education for vulnerable girls and women in targeted areas in Myanmar, Niger, and Sudan. It seeks to increase community-led actions in breaking barriers to gender-equal education while improving the availability of inclusive education systems. The project also increases access to learning opportunities for livelihood and life skills. Project activities include: (1) delivering women leaders leadership training to promote integrating women’s education, leadership, and participation in community decision-making and peace processes; (2) establishing the Innovative Teachers Establishing Education Services program to provide localized community-based, inclusive, gender and climate-responsive education to out-of-school girls; (3) developing localized curriculum for livelihoods and life skills training on Early Childhood Care and Development for out-of-school girls and women; (4) providing small grants for community groups to support community-led gender-transformative action that addresses barriers to women’s and girls’ education; and (5) supporting peer networks managed by grassroots women organizations. These networks are safe spaces for confidential services in sexual and reproductive health and rights, sexual and gender-based violence, child, early, and forced marriage, and women trafficking and drug use. P007252002: These activities will provide assistance to crisis-affected people, mitigate protection risks and respond to protection needs through humanitarian action in support of two of the main COVID-19 related strategies in the Sudan Humanitarian Plan for 2021. COVID-related activities include: A) Provide support to Kerenik isolation centre and health units in the targeted villages; B) Conduct gender-responsive awareness campaigns about Covid-19 prevention measures; C) Build capacity of local community groups and leaders and health workers on Covid-19 preventive measures; D) Provide cash transfers to vulnerable households for basic needs and education; E) Strengthen community protection structures on protection and gender-sensitive approaches and referral pathways; F) Support community protection structures to strengthen monitoring and support for household most vulnerable to COVID-19.
