Published purpose

This project contributes to poverty reduction by enhancing domestic resource mobilization (DRM) in developing countries. It aims to support a comprehensive technical assistance program, covering key dimension of DRM. This includes support for implementing international standards to raise revenues from multinational enterprises (MNEs), exchange information to combat illicit financial flows, and implement measures to fight financial crimes. The project also seeks to mobilizes international expertise to provide data, training, guidance and practical support across a range of issue related to digitalization. Nearly all developing countries benefit from multilateral training, while over 40 developing countries receive direct bilateral assistance in various areas. This includes taxing MNEs, exchanging information standards, implementing value-added tax on cross-border e-commerce, and participating in Tax Inspectors Without Borders missions.
