This project supports Canadian graduate students and researchers from Simon Fraser University to travel to Malaysia, Singapore, India, and Japan to collaborate on clean hydrogen research. It focuses on low-cost hydrogen production (especially turquoise hydrogen), energy system modeling, hydrogen-fueled technologies, and innovation ecosystems. The proposal states that the initiative aligns with Canada’s Indo Pacific and Hydrogen Strategies. With 22 awards funded over two years, the project enhances Canada’s research connectivity, accelerates technology development, and cultivates talent for the global clean energy transition.
