Published purpose
This project aims to create diversified, sustainable and inclusive trade, business and economic opportunities for people in Central America and the Andean region, including women and vulnerable populations. It does so by strengthening public institutions, improving trade, business, and investment policies and programs, and by fostering equitable access to economic opportunities. Project activities include: (1) designing and delivering an on-demand technical assistance deployment platform that quickly responds to emerging needs of stakeholders and engages them at every stage. These stages include defining technical assistance needs, determining the length and format of assignments, and selecting advisors, volunteers and consultants; and (2) delivering hands-on training, mentorships and knowledge exchange workshops by deploying Canadian expert advisors and volunteers, and local experts.
