AUF - Agence universitaire de la Francophonie

Published purpose

This grant constitutes Canada’s long-term institutional support to the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). The AUF uses these funds—along with contributions from other donors—to fulfil its mandate. Canada’s support for the AUF’s new programming helps strengthen the capacities of member institutions, improve access to quality higher education for learners in the Global South, and reinforce teaching, vocational training, and research in fields such as environmental studies, economics and management, tropical medicine, primary education, and governance. This support also contributes to local and regional economic development by fostering the emergence of innovative university ecosystems capable of responding to labour-market needs and promoting francophone entrepreneurship.
