Published purpose

This post-conflict democracy-building project is a two-year program to strengthen the ability of the Nepal Women's Caucus to function as an independent and sustainable force for promoting women's political participation. This program is led by the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), which has conducted democracy-building projects in Nepal since 1994. Program activities include working with local political and civic leaders to: 1) increase the ability of the Women's Caucus to advocate for implementation of the Nepal Action Plan; and 2) build awareness among women political activists and the general public regarding the importance of women's political participation.
