Published purpose

This project focuses on five planned activities to provide culturally relevant mental health support to Ehattesaht First Nation members experiencing addictions and mental health challenges: healing camps that connect members with the land and provide culturally appropriate tools for harm reduction and overdose prevention, enhancements to the existing Human Services Outreach Program (HSOP) to continue to deliver vital resources that support recovery and wellness, the purchase of an eight passenger SUV that will be used for HSOP’s daily operations and routine visits to community members, the purchase and set up of two modular buildings to provide washroom and laundry facilities for vulnerable and under-housed individuals, and professional development retreats for HSOP staff to support mental health and wellness.
