Published purpose
The project aims to reduce the number of deaths among children under the age of five by delivering life saving treatments for malaria and pneumonia in hard to reach communities. Project activities focus on training and supervising community health workers to effectively recognize the symptoms of malaria and pneumonia, as well as diagnose and treat these childhood diseases. In addition, the project is procuring treatments to ensure community health workers in hard to reach communities have ready access to the necessary drugs to address malaria and pneumonia. This project is being implemented in Mozambique, Malawi and South Sudan.
