Published purpose
This project aims to improve the health of women, men, girls, and boys, particularly in the northern regions of the country, by strengthening access to quality sexual and reproductive health services and promoting the participation of women and girls in community health decision-making. The goal is to create a more equitable, inclusive, and gender-sensitive health system. Project activities include: (1) training community outreach workers to provide adapted sexual and reproductive health services; (2) supporting women and girls in claiming their health rights and participating in decision-making processes; (3) improving health infrastructure and providing necessary equipment; and (4) strengthening the capacities of local authorities in health service management and governance. This project is implemented by the International Health Unit of the University of Montreal (USI) and Care Canada.
