Published purpose
The project aims to increase respect for human rights in Bolivia—particularly for women, indigenous and rural people, and human rights defenders. It supports the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in monitoring and reporting on violations. Project activities include: (1) providing technical and strategic advice to government authorities to promote human rights and meet its obligations in line with international standards; and (2) providing technical and strategic advice to human rights defenders and civil society to document human rights violations and hold government to account to respect its human rights obligations.
