Published purpose

(February 4, 2011) This project represents CIDA's support to the Overseas Development Institute's (ODI) Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG). The Integrated Programme 2011-2013 research is founded in HPG’s five cross-cutting themes and focuses on the following: resilience and humanitarian action; strengthening humanitarian negotiation and strategies of principled action and access; civil-military coordination; and assessing change in the humanitarian sector. This programme is complemented by externally commissioned studies, rapid response policy briefs, networking within the Humanitarian Practice Network, and outreach events. The HPG also manages the journal “Disasters”, a quarterly reporting on all aspects of disasters studies, policy and management.
