Published purpose

This project aims to improve the living conditions and food security of 10,000 persons living in the dry corridor of El Salvador. This is done by promoting the participation and empowerment of rural women and youth, with a focus on nutrition, climate change adaptation, and management of water-forest-soil resources. This project seeks to strengthen food security and climate resilience, with a nutrition-sensitive approach that considers adaptation to climate change, good management, and conservation of water-forest-soil resources. It also promotes rural women and youth’s participation and economic empowerment in addressing unequal access to safe and nutritious food for healthy diets. It equally aims to implement mechanisms and drought contingency plans and anticipatory actions based on drought forecasts in selected municipalities of the dry corridor.
