Published purpose
With CIDA support, CARE Canada is addressing the emergency needs of vulnerable populations affected by both the food crisis and conflict in northern Mali. Cash transfers to 1,500 vulnerable households in the Mopti and Segou regions will enable these families to meet basic needs until the end of the lean season. Another 1,500 vulnerable households will be able to meet their basic needs as a result of the income generated through cash-for-work initiatives.
