Published purpose
With CIDA support, Islamic Relief Canada is helping to provide basic food rations (including cereals, flour, sugar, and oil) to 5,000 vulnerable drought and conflict-affected households (estimated 40,000 people) in the Bay and Bakool regions of Somalia for six months, thereby reducing the risk of acute malnutrition, particularly amongst pregnant women and young children.
