This grant represents Canada’s institutional support to CGIAR. CGIAR is a global partnership that unites organizations engaged in research for a food secure future. CGIAR uses these funds, along with other donor funding, to achieve its mandate. CGIAR’s mandate is to reduce poverty and hunger, improve human health and nutrition, and enhance ecological resilience through high-quality international agriculture research, partnership and leadership. Canada’s support to the CGIAR contributes to greater food security, and improvements in human health and nutrition.
