Published purpose
This grant represents Canada's long-term institutional support to the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). AUF uses these funds, along with other donor funding, to achieve its mandate. AUF's mandate is to support cooperation and solidarity among academic institutions working in French, especially in French-speaking countries in Africa, the Arab World, South East Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean. Canada's support to AUF helps to develop higher education and research, and train teachers and managers of educational institutions in these countries.
