Published purpose

The Assessment Capacities Project (ACAPS) is managed by a consortium of three international non-governmental organizations: Save the Children, Action Against Hunger (ACF) and the Norwegian Refugee Council. This initiative aims to improve coordinated multi-sector needs assessments before, during, or after crises. With the support of DFATD and other donors, ACAPS: develops innovative needs assessment methodologies and tools in order to provide faster, more precise and cost effective assessments; trains organizations, and experts; builds a roster of trained deployable assessment experts; and provides evidence-based analysis for decision-making during humanitarian crises.
