Published purpose

This project aims to support the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC), an inclusive platform established in 2012, as a follow-up to the 4th High Level Forum (HLF4) on Aid Effectiveness in Busan. The GPEDC promotes knowledge sharing and fosters multi-stakeholder partnerships for effective development cooperation. The HLF4 called on the United Nationas Development Programme (UNDP) and the OECD's Development Assistance Committee (DAC) to set up a joint support team (JST) to facilitate the effective functioning of the GPEDC. Project activities include (1) support monitoring of development cooperation at country levels; (2) foster mutual learning among stakeholders; (3) strengthen linkages with global processes for implementing Agenda 2030; (4) provide secretariat support to the steering committee; and (5) organize the second high level meeting. The support provided under this project is for UNDP's JST activities in 2016.
