Published purpose

This grant represents Canada’s institutional support to the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The DAC uses these funds, along with other donors’ funding , to achieve its mandate. The DAC’s mandate is to promote development co-operation, including pro-poor economic growth, poverty reduction, and improvement of living standards in developing countries. The DAC contributes to advancing Canada’s international development objectives through, among other things, its work on aid effectiveness, modernizing development finance, and tracking the impact of development cooperation from diverse stakeholders (e.g., private sector, emerging donors, and philanthropic organizations).
