Published purpose

The purpose of this project is to provide institutional support to the the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) of Canada. SICI is a bi-national organization that aims to strengthen relationships between the academic, research, government, business and cultural communities in Canada and India. Its membership includes 27 universities and the Museum of Civilization within Canada, and 34 member universities in India. It is co-financed by the Governments of Canada and India. SICI currently implements a number of activities including a Canadian studies program; an India studies program; an applied research program; a partnership development program; a library development program; and a Youth Internship program.
