Published purpose
The project aims to reduce the incidence of child sex tourism (CST) in Costa Rica. It is designed to build the capacity of local networks to prevent CST, provide training and alternatives for young people who are vulnerable to CST, and enhance understanding of the issue among law enforcement and the tourism industry. It also aims to raise awareness among Canadian travel agencies and travellers about CST. The International Bureau for Children’s Rights works on this project with its local partner, Fundacion Paniamor.
