Published purpose

The project aims to rehabilitate and/or reconstruct four schools and a health centre for 163 760 beneficiaries in the following departments: west (Pétionville, Carrefour), Nippes (Miragoâne, La Brousse et Savane Henry), north-east (Terrier-Rouge), south-east (Jacmel Valley), and west, Nippes and south-east (Jacmel, Ganthier, Léogane, Labrousse). These are the zones that are the most affected by the earthquake. The project also aims to increase the capacity of the targeted communities to welcome more people so that the affected populations have access to satisfying education and health services. The second component of the project aims to bring potable water to affected populations. Terre Sans Frontières is working in partnership with the Frères de l'instruction chrétienne - Haïti, Soeurs de la Charité de St-Louis, the Soeurs Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur, the Institut Technique Libre, Fondation pour le Développement Économique et Social, and the Commission épiscopale pour l'éducation catholique - Haïti.
