Published purpose

This project aims to assist Ghana to achieve its primary health care objectives for improved health of Ghanaians, particularly adolescent girls and boys. It seeks to do so by strengthening existing government systems and building capacity at the national, sub-national, and community levels of the public health care system. Project activities include: (1) increasing the capacity of healthcare providers to deliver primary health services; (2) strengthening linkages between services and improving referral and transport systems; (3) improving family planning and health services to reach underserved groups, particularly adolescent girls and boys; (4) developing relevant policies and guidelines; and (5) improving public financial management processes.
