Published purpose
The aim of this project is to build the capacity of national and regional authorities to design and implement a decentralized vocational skills training system that is responsive to labour market needs. An extension of the project beginning in 2010 aims to scale up the project’s achievements, in six pilot schools and three pilot regions, to the national level. It works closely with key national ministries and a number of stakeholders to ensure that the methodologies/approaches developed by the project continue to be integrated into Ukraine’s skills training system, and lead to further systemic behavioural changes of management and staff. In particular, the project focuses on establishing a strong group of champions and future leaders within the skills training system, primarily at the regional level, to disseminate project innovations to skills training institutions throughout the country.
