Published purpose

The Aga Khan Foundation of Canada and CIDA support the Cairo Economic Livelihoods Project to reduce poverty, including inequality, and promote the local economic growth of two poor neighbourhoods of Cairo by increasing and improving employment and developing the private sector through the provision of employability services and financial and business development services (BDS). The Goal of the project is to contribute to a sustained economic renewal and growth of target districts. The Purpose of the project is to strengthen the livelihoods of the targeted population and reduce poverty through business development, financial services and employability services.
