Published purpose
The purpose of this project is to improve the living conditions of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and to address the security aspects of the refugees' presence in Lebanon. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC) specifically and the Government of Lebanon in general to develop and implement policies designed to improve the lives of the Palestinian refugees. The project provides expert advice and technical support to the LPDC to help it develop and implement new policies, including polices that address employment issues. The LPDC was established by the Government of Lebanon in 2005. Its mandate includes providing conditions that enable Palestinian refugees in Lebanon to live in dignity, prosperity, security, and harmony with their environment.
