Published purpose
The project consists of developing and implementing a sound poverty targeting mechanism for the social safety net programs in Lebanon. The project goes from the initial stages of development through to the launch of the national targeting program and includes the recruitment and training of personnel to carry out the survey and analysis work necessary to develop the targeting system, as well as the creation of an information management system. This results in an efficient and transparent tool for identifying the poorest households in Lebanon and in trained personnel able to use the system to improve social welfare programs well beyond the end of the project.
