Published purpose

The project aims to develop sufficient institutional and human resource capacity to sustain a fully functioning, transparent and financially viable system for agricultural insurance in Ukraine. More specifically, the project is designed to strengthen the capacity of relevant government institutions and insurance companies, increase access to finance for Ukrainian farmers, improve the legislative and regulatory framework pertaining to the agri-insurance system, as well as strengthen consumer advocacy and protection. It builds on Phase I of the Agriculture-Insurance Sector Development project, which significantly increased the capacity of insurance market stakeholders in Ukraine.
