Published purpose

The Canadian Centre for Architecture will complete an archival migration that involves reprocessing and migrating data for four major Canadian archives: the fonds of Arthur Erickson, Melvin Charney, Roger D’Astous and Luc Laporte. The organization will migrate these fonds from The Museum System to a new Archive Management System. This will enable the organization to: • improve its ability to use structured data to create finding aids, • facilitate the use of data for the website, • define new data types to facilitate searches (e.g. keywords), • perform reporting, • adopt a system that permits better use of data, and • adhere to international standards for all of these activities.
